Certification bodies are those that inspect and certify whether these systems have been installed in accordance with the relevant standard requirements or whether they are in operation if the systems are subject to system certification, standard certification, food certification, product certification and other accreditation.
In this respect, certification bodies must be accredited from domestic or foreign accreditation bodies. In this way, the documents and reports issued as a result of certification activities are accepted all over the world.
Therefore, if any certification service is to be obtained, the institution from which the service will be received should be an accredited organization. In this respect, the accreditation certificate of the certification body to be serviced must be questioned and the scope of the accreditation certificate must be examined. Otherwise, if the certification body does not include the activities of the company that will receive the certificate, the certificate issued by the certification body in our country will not have a validity.
If the certification body operating in our country is accredited by a foreign accreditation body, it is sufficient that the accreditation body is a member of the European Accreditation Union and that its extension in our country is covered by this accreditation. Furthermore, they are not required to be accredited by TURKAK Turkish Accreditation Agency.
In addition, services provided by a certification body operating in another country outside the scope of the European Accreditation Union's responsibility, if there is a mutual recognition agreement between the country where this accreditation body is located and the European Accreditation Union, there is no problem in terms of the services provided. In such cases, if the certification body still wishes to be accredited by TÜRKAK, this is only a strategic decision of the organization.
