Standard certification activities are carried out by accredited certification bodies in accordance with the requirements of the relevant standards established and implemented by enterprises. The auditors appointed by the certification bodies carry out their audits in accordance with the relevant certification standards, the relevant conditions determined by the accreditation body and the rules and regulations covering the accreditation requirements. During these studies, enterprises are obliged to open all the documents prepared within the scope of certification according to the relevant standard to the certification body completely and fully. In this context, the auditors should be given the system manual, the standard elements that are matched with the management system documents of the enterprise, the organizational structure of the enterprise, the business processes and the legal regulations to be followed. In addition, enterprises should open all the necessary records to the auditors when the relevant system is applied.
The effectiveness of the standards established in the enterprise is determined by the on-site audit studies to be performed in the enterprise. In this study, it is especially emphasized whether the activities are performed in accordance with the business processes prepared within the scope of the related standard.
It is determined whether the company performs corrective and preventive activities for the unapplied or incorrectly applied business processes and if this is not observed, the nonconformity report describes this situation.
After the audit is completed, an audit report is prepared by the auditors and submitted to the certification body. If the audit results are unsuccessful, the company is requested to make the necessary corrections and the audit work is performed again.
