WHAT IS THE G SIGN

G-Mark is an obligatory mark in the supply of construction materials that are not subject to CE in our country and it is used by attaching to the material, a label attached to the material, the packaging of the material or commercial documents of the material. it is called. The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization introduced the “G” marking application in order to ensure that the products that are not subject to technical specifications are inspected in the internal market and the issues related to the safety of these products are determined by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. Communiqué on Ulusal National Regulations on Construction Materials that are not obliged to carry CE Marking ılan which is within the scope of Construction Materials Regulation (89 / 106 / EEC), which is named as “G” Communiqué by Ministry of Environment and Urbanization in order to form the legislative infrastructure of G mark application ” 06.12.2006 has been published in the Official Gazette no. The düşünül G ”Communiqué was originally intended to be applied to building materials that are permanently used in construction and have national standards. However, the fact that the activities related to the construction materials are of interest to other public institutions other than the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, the ability to grant “National Technical Approval ere to innovative products that do not have national standards or deviate significantly from the standards and which will only be supplied to the domestic market will enable the determination of the product characteristics within the framework of the basic requirements. other reasons, such as the need for a mechanism, put forward the need to draft new legislation on the implementation of the “G” mark.

Within this framework, the Yönetmelik Regulation on the Criteria for Construction Materials tarafından published by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization was published in the Official Gazette dated 26.06.2009-27270 and entered into force on 01.07.2010. The said Regulation has been revised by being published in the Official Gazettes dated 31.07.2010 / 27658 and 14.04.2011 / 27905. With the publication of this Regulation, Communiqué G has been repealed. When the new Regulation on the supply conditions of building materials in the unregulated area is examined, it is seen that the EU introduces model applications of the Construction Materials Regulation created by the adaptation of the 89 / 106 / EEC Directive.

The Construction Products Regulation introduces the CE marking on products with harmonized norms, while the G Regulation introduces the use of the “G” marking for products with national standards. The Teknik National Technical Approval ”procedure is introduced in this Regulation against the“ EU Technical Approval yönelik process for attaching CE marking for innovative products in the Construction Products Regulation. With all these studies, it is aimed to ensure market discipline and to prevent unfair competition regarding the products in the unregulated area and where our national standards exist. Some of the provisions of the Regulation on the application of the “G” Mark are outlined below. 9 Applies to building materials that do not have harmonized technical specifications, ie are outside the harmonized norm and ATO.

In accordance with the provisions of the 9 Regulation, the materials affixed with the “G değerlendiril mark are considered safe products and are allowed to be placed on the market. 9 G mark; the material, a label attached to the material, the packaging of the material or the commercial documents of the material, and technical specifications based on the material, together with the performance values describing the properties of the material. In case of publication of a harmonized standard for any of the materials covered by the 9 Regulation, the product concerned shall be subject to CE marking. A product cannot carry both marks at the same time. 9 In the event that the product characteristics required to be declared are not met by the standards in order to determine that the construction materials in which construction materials are used allow them to meet the basic requirements to which they are subject to, the product characteristics / characteristics that the standard does not contain are determined by the sub-regulatory process until the standard is revised. 9 Even if the materials which are not harmonized or deviate from the national standard or deviate from them are proved to be safe on their own, the products and prototype materials which will be supplied to the market together shall receive technical approval and shall be placed on the market by attaching the “G” mark.

9 By the Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Criteria for Construction Materials published in the Official Gazette dated 31.07.2010 / 27658 numbered “Products with TSE Certificate may be affixed with the G values according to the results of the reports provided within the scope of TSE certificate, without the need of conformity assessment body operations. . ”. According to this provision, the products covered by the G Regulation and previously obtained TSE certificate will be able to carry the G-mark once again without the need for conformity assessment procedures. In order to determine the details related to this matter, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, in the Official Gazette dated 21.09.2010 / 27706 tarih Communiqué on Conformity Assessment and Certification Procedures to be Performed by Turkish Standards Institute 2010-13).
