The Enterprise Risk Management System accelerates the decision-making processes of the decision-making bodies of the firm. With this system, the priorities of the activities are determined and more informed choices can be made. Risk management is an integral part of all other business processes of the firm. These processes are not separate and independent activities. It focuses more on uncertainties and is constantly open to change. Over time, new risks may arise, existing risks may disappear or change. Therefore, risk management ensures continuous development of the company.
When all these benefits are taken into consideration, companies that install and implement this system in their businesses naturally want to obtain a Certificate of Enterprise Risk Management System. In publishing these standards, the International Standards Organization has not foreseen certification for these standards. However, in recent days, it has been observed that some certification bodies have conducted examinations and issued this certificate at the requesting firms. When applying to certification bodies for certification, an Application Form must first be completed. Then all the documentation prepared during the installation of the system should be opened to the certification body. This documentation may be presented on paper or in a place accessible to the certification body on the Internet. The documents to be opened to the certification body will include the Corporate Risk Management Handbook, the company's organizational chart, risk management business processes, updated job descriptions, risk management application instructions and similar documents. In addition, the company must provide the certification body with documents such as a copy of the signature circular, a copy of the trade registry gazette and a copy of the chamber registry record.
