Special escalators are produced for these people, but are not common. Escalators / roads, business centers where today's human traffic, department stores, supermarkets, railway stations, airports, schools, hospitals, factories, hotels, restaurants and steep hills etc. It is widely used to provide continuous and safe human transport in places. The escalators can be used in buildings such as theaters, sports centers, exhibition palaces, where large communities should be transported at certain times. In addition to escalators in large exhibition palaces, airports and subways, escalators, which have a special form, are also used. Specially designed escalators for stepless, spiral, disabled and wheelchair users according to architecture and purpose of use are offered to the people as a system that supports the movement of the passenger and provides maximum security. However, it was first introduced in 1892 in an entertainment center in New York. Six years later, a renowned elevator company (Otis) exhibited the escalators as a commercial product for the first time at a trade show in Paris in 1895. Escalator production in our country started in 1900 years. Today, there is a wide range of products available on different slopes and different step widths. Walking stairs and escalators need to work without risking the safety of people and property. In order to ensure this, the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment issued sets out the minimum conditions that must be complied with in terms of health and safety during the operation of the elevators and escalators adopted by the lifting and conveying machinery group.
According to this method, escalators and moving paths should be checked and inspected at least once a year by authorized persons such as mechanical engineers, machine technicians or technicians.
