Vehicle Lift Lift Periodic Inspection

As the automotive industry develops, the machinery and equipment used in this industry develop in parallel. Vehicle lifter fibers are the most remarkable of these. The most commonly used lifting equipment in both car factories and services is vehicle lifts.

Although vehicle lifts are manufactured in many different models depending on their intended use and production and sales characteristics, they are basically either two-column or four-column. There are many types of car lifts which cannot be given up by automobile factories and car repair shops and services according to their lifting capacity and light, medium and heavy class of vehicles.

Vehicle lifts work with hydraulic systems. In these systems, non-compressible liquids such as oil or water are used to transmit the applied force. Hydraulic systems are used in the brake systems of vehicles, while they are used for the purpose of lifting weights in construction machines or hydraulic lifts such as vehicle lifts. Pascal principle is the basis of hydraulic systems. According to this principle, when pressure is applied at any point of the liquid contained in the closed containers, this pressure is evenly distributed to each point of the liquid in the container.

The system is a bit more complicated in hydraulic vehicle lifts. This is because the force applied here is doubled. In simple terms, a load applied to one of the two cylinders connected to one another can handle a heavier load on the other cylinder. Thanks to the force folding feature of this system, the vehicle lifts can easily lift the loads far above the applied force.

Control and Inspection Principles of Vehicle Lifts

Vehicle lifts belong to the group of lifting and conveying equipment with these features and provide a more comfortable working underneath the vehicles that require manufacturing, maintenance and repair. However, even this situation shows how risky it is for human health and safety. When the vehicles are checked regularly, the wheels and brake systems are checked, the silencer is changed or the vehicle is lifted up while performing similar works, thanks to the vehicle lifts. As a result, the magnitude of the risk is obvious since the vehicles are under their own weight.

Therefore, it is a necessity to ensure the health and safety of employees in compliance with the Regulation on Health and Safety in the Use of Work Equipment published by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in 2013.

In the said regulation, how often controls and inspections of vehicle lifts should be carried out and which criteria and standards will be followed during this period are explained.

The Regulation on the Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in 2013 has obliged the enterprises to have the vehicle lifts inspected and inspected at least once a year, taking into account employee health and property safety. In case of an accident, employers are responsible. The said regulation includes the frequency of inspection and inspection of vehicle lifts and the criteria and standards to be followed. In addition, inspection and inspection operations must be carried out by mechanical engineers, machine technicians or high technicians. Otherwise, checks and reports to be made by unauthorized persons are not considered valid.

Like many inspection and testing organizations, our company is TÜRCERT Technical Control and Certification Inc. also carries out inspections and inspections of vehicle lifts and prepares reports if conformity is determined.

For the safety of your employees and your business, all enterprises are responsible for performing the necessary controls of the vehicle lifts and service lifts within your organization and reporting the findings as a result of the inspections.

Our company carries out regular inspections and inspections of vehicle lifts in compliance with the legal regulations in force within the scope of periodic controls of lifting and transmitting machines. A few standards considered during these studies are:

TS EN 60204-32 Safety in machinery - Electrical devices in machinery - Part 32: Requirements for hoisting machines

TS ISO 12480-1 Cranes - Safe use - Section 1: General

TS ISO 9927-1 Cranes - Inspections - Part 1: General

TS EN 13000: 2010 + A1 Cranes - mobile cranes

TS EN 1495 / A2 Lift platforms - Pillar work platforms

our organization TÜRCERT Technical Control and Certification Inc. provides the control and inspection services of vehicle lifts of all capacities and strengths with a competent manager and employee staff and a strong infrastructure and in a quality, reliable and fast way.
