Variable Access Vehicle Periodic Inspection

Variable Access Vehicles are called cranes that are placed on large vehicles and can lower and lift the loads going to the desired location. Self-propelled variable access vehicles are also subject to the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment published in 6331 based on the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 2013 and are included in the group of lifting and conveying machines. For this reason, these vehicles should be checked and inspected at least once a year by mechanical engineers, machine technicians or high technicians.

Our company conducts regular inspections and inspections of self-propelled variable-access vehicles within the scope of periodic controls of hoisting and conveying machines in accordance with the relevant legal regulations and standards published by domestic and foreign organizations. These standards are based on a few standards:

  • TS EN 1459 + A3 Safety in industrial vehicles - Self-propelled variable-access vehicles

This standard applies to self-propelled, driver-driven, variable-access vehicles. Using one of the ancillary equipment provided in the relevant clauses of the standard, these vehicles are intended to lift all kinds of loads. This standard applies to lifting containers of length 6 meters, dimensions and safety features specified in ISO 668 and ISO 3874 standards.

  • TS EN 1755 Industrial vehicles - Safety requirements and verification - Complementary requirements for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres

This standard covers the rules for avoiding or minimizing the dangers caused by the normal operation, maintenance or foreseeable misuse of industrial vehicles as listed in the relevant article of the standard.

  • TS EN 12895 Industrial vehicles - Electromagnetic compatibility

This standard covers industrial vehicles, variable access vehicles and their electrical or electronic systems as defined in the ISO 5053 standard, regardless of the type of power source used in residential areas, commercial areas, small-scale industrial environments.

  • TS ISO 5053 Motor vehicles, industrial - Terms
  • TS EN ISO 3691-1 Industrial vehicles - Safety requirements and verification - Part 1: Self-propelled industrial vehicles except driverless trucks, variable-access trucks and cargo-carrying trucks

This standard specifies the safety requirements of self-propelled industrial trucks as defined in the ISO 5053 standard and the means for their verification.

TURCERT, in its Variable Access Vehicle Periodic Inspections carried out with its expert team and equipment, checks that the relevant equipment and auxiliary equipment can perform the lifting work safely, that the equipment meets the test requirements, and reports any deficiencies, non-conformities or dangerous situations detected.
