Soon in our country, the EEE Regulation (Regulation on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) which was prepared based on RoHS directive, was published in 2008. In order to protect the environment and human health, this regulation restricts the use of certain harmful substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
Electronic products ROHS certificate In order to apply, a technical dossier is required. Producer companies have to have their electrical tests and analyzes done in an accredited laboratory. The final product or spacer products are sent to the laboratories as an example and requested to be examined. If the required product has not been found to be prohibited after the necessary tests have been carried out or the use has been within the specified limits, the manufacturer is entitled to receive a RoHS Certificate. The results of the studies to be performed in the laboratories are put into the technical file and an application is made to a certification institution.
RoHS Certificate cannot be requested without technical file. Certification bodies initiate work on the prepared technical dossier and evaluate the compliance of RoHS directive with the results of tests and analyzes arranged in laboratories. If the company is convinced that it deserves to receive a certificate, a RoHS Certificate is issued.
