Radiated Emission Tests

RE stands for radiation diffusion. English Radiated Emission is an abbreviation of initials.

The main emission tests carried out in authorized laboratories within the scope of EMC tests are as follows:

  • Conducted emission
  • Electric field, radiated emission
  • Harmonic and flicker

Radiated Emission tests performed in authorized laboratories are carried out in order to determine the amount of electromagnetic pollution caused by radio frequency in the environment in which an electrical or electronic device is operating. Electric field and magnetic field values are measured in these test studies. Ring antennas or electric field antennas are used during these studies. In addition, biconical antennas between 30 and 300 MHz, log - periodic antennas between 30 and 2.000 MHz or funnel antennas between 2.000 and 18.000 MHz are also used in these measurements. It is also possible to make measurements much easier using EMI (electromagnetic interference) instead of these antennas.

The electric field, radiation emission measurements (electromagnetic interference emission measurements) are:

  • Measurement of electromagnetic wave radiation (radiated magnetic field emission)
  • Interference wave voltage measurement (conducted emission)
  • Measurement of interference disturbance (power disturbance)
  • Measurement of smooth non-continuous brittle interference waves
  • Measurement of low frequency network interference waves

Many electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests are performed in authorized laboratories. Our company also conducts radiated emission tests within the scope of EMC tests in accordance with the relevant legal regulations, standards and test methods published by domestic and foreign organizations. A few standards considered in this study are:

  • TS EN 50561-1 Power line communication devices for low voltage installations - Radio disturbance characteristics - Limits and measuring methods - Part 1: Domestic appliances
  • TS EN 55011 Industrial, scientific and medical equipment - Radio frequency distortion characteristics - Limit values and measurement methods
  • TS EN 55014-1 Electromagnetic compatibility - Specifications for household appliances and similar appliances - Part 1: Propagation

Our company has been accredited by Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRCERT) in accordance with TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 standard.
