Radiated Magnetic Field Tests

The sensitivity levels of the electrical and electronic systems or devices used are changing day by day and their types are increasing. For this reason, electromagnetic compatibility measurements and tests have become a necessity. (power frequency magnetic field), immunity tests against lightning, lightning or inductive motor starting pulses and electrostatic discharge tests (ESD).

The electric field is the area in which the pushing or pulling force created by one electric charge on another electric charge is effective. Therefore, all electric charges have an electric field. The main source of magnetic effect is electrical charges. Therefore, there is a magnetic field at every point where electric current is present. The magnetic field is caused by the displacement of electrical charges. If the electric current increases, so does the magnetic field. As the distance increases, the electric field effect decreases as well as the magnetic field effect. Electromagnetic fields are formed by the combination of electric field and magnetic field. In an electromagnetic field, electric waves and magnetic waves are constantly displaced. The main characteristics of electromagnetic fields are frequency and wavelengths. As the frequency increases, the wavelength decreases.

The purpose of conducting radiated magnetic field tests, that is, immunity tests against magnetic fields, which are among the aforementioned immunity tests, is to determine the immunity values ​​of an electrical or electronic device in this direction.

Many electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests are performed in authorized laboratories. Within the scope of EMC tests, our company performs radiated magnetic field tests in accordance with the relevant regulations, standards and test methods published by domestic and foreign organizations. These standards are based on a few standards:
