Industrial Tests

Different branches of activity in various sectors of the industry always need industrial tests. This is important both in terms of ensuring product quality and superiority to competitors in the market.

For example, the automotive sector. This sector, which is constantly fluctuating due to various political and economic crises, cannot tolerate faulty production, poor quality production and problems that will create customer dissatisfaction in any way. For this sector, major manufacturers from various countries have developed standards such as the American QS 9000 standard, the German VDA 6.1 standard, the French EAQF 9000 standard and the Italian AVSQ 9000 standard. However, in order to eliminate this different structure and to create an international language between the manufacturers and suppliers, the ISO 16949 standard was prepared by the International Standards Organization (ISO) and published in 2002. This standard has been issued by TSE in our country under the name of TSE ISO / TS 16949 Quality Management Systems - Special conditions for the application of ISO 9001: 2008 for automotive production and related spare parts manufacturers.

Similarly, the required standards were published in the construction materials and construction materials sectors, and manufacturers were allowed to operate within the framework of internationally accepted criteria and methods. In this respect, test and inspection organizations conduct a series of tests ranging from feasibility studies to risk assessment studies, as well as compliance and adequacy tests of the materials used and the resulting work. For example, concrete block and brick analyzes are also performed in order to determine whether they meet the criteria set by the relevant standards and the limitations imposed by legal regulations. The production methods and processes of many building materials such as these affect their performance. Controlling the materials supplied from the suppliers at the source, saves time and cost for construction companies.

Many more industrial tests such as these are being performed. Air conditioning tests or vibration resistance tests are among them. For example, accelerated aging tests are also performed. Specially designed devices are used for these tests. These devices create damage caused by weather conditions such as rain, snow, dew or sunlight in a much shorter time and whether the materials are resistant to these conditions are tested.

In short, a strong technological background and experienced and trained experts are needed to perform industrial tests. These issues are investment-requiring and it is necessary to make these investments in order to exist in this market for testing and inspection.

In addition, organizations that will perform these tests must be accredited from an accreditation body in accordance with the standard of TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.

The main tests performed within the scope of industrial tests are as follows:

  • Automotive tests
  • Air conditioning tests
  • Building materials tests
  • Vibration resistance tests
  • Glass strength tests
  • Hydrostatic pressure tests
  • UV fast aging tests
  • Building materials tests
