For example, pressure equipment ultrasonic thickness measurements are important for us in production activities. In these tests, ultrasonic control of the material is performed by using high frequency sound waves. High frequency sound waves are sent into the material to be controlled. These sound waves reflect if they encounter an obstacle along their path. These reflected signals are monitored on the ultrasonic controller display. With the calculations, both the location and the size of the obstacle in the material are determined. With this method, volumetric errors and crack-like surface defects of pressure equipment are detected.
