If non-destructive testing methods are used in such periodic checks, these methods may only be applied by engineers, technical teachers, technicians or technicians trained in accordance with TS EN ISO 2006 standard.
As with all other pressure vessels and equipment, chemical tanks are required to be tested before they are delivered to the facility, or after installation in the facility, but before any use has been made, or after any changes, repairs or improvements have been made in the facility. controls. Accordingly, chemical tanks must also be inspected and inspected at least once a year by authorized mechanical engineers, high technicians and machine technicians.
Hydrostatic tests, which are the basic principle in pressure vessels, also apply to chemical tanks. These tests are to be carried out with the 1,5 multiplied operating pressure, unless otherwise specified in the relevant standards. However, if the hydrostatic test cannot be carried out in mandatory conditions arising from the operation, non-destructive testing methods specified in the standards may be applied instead of hydrostatic testing in chemical tanks.
In the periodic controls of chemical tanks, the principles mentioned in the pressure equipment regulation, portable pressure equipment regulation and simple pressure vessels regulation are also complied with, with the exception of the aforementioned regulation.
