VEGAN Certification

Vegan and Vegetarian Certification

VEGAN

The certified Vegan Logo V-MARK, attached and recognized on products around the world, is a registered trademark that inherently resembles the KOSHER brand for products that do not contain animal products or by-products and have not been tested on animals. The certified logo is easily visible to consumers interested in vegan products and helps vegans shop without constantly referring to ingredient lists.

It also helps manufacturers gain recognition in the growing vegan market and mainstream the word VEGAN and the lifestyle it represents.

The vegan certification procedure differs from one organization to another. As a matter of fact, some labels are provided in the simple statement, while others perform in-depth checks and audits on the field.

Minimum criteria for vegan eligibility are the same in all establishments.

There are no animal ingredients and raw materials and products tested on live animals and indirectly, no animals were used in the service. However, some may have additional criteria such as rejection of GMOs, palm oil or certain production processes. The V-Mark breeding method is included in the traditional certification, the breeding process must be free of animal traces.

V-Mark VEGAN labels have EAF (American Accreditation) international validity, but their reputation and recognition are more popular than other labels.

VEGAN Quality Audits

By identifying and correcting problem areas that could compromise vegan integrity before products are released, a manufacturer can reduce non-compliance, contamination, liability and product recall costs. Consumer confidence in brands is reflected in factory-implemented quality control systems and protocols to ensure vegan compliance, whether private labeled or not. Follow-up evaluations may be required, focusing on the findings of a previous assessment and confirming the effectiveness of corrective actions implemented. If the findings can be verified through the document review, this can also be achieved through a desktop evaluation.

V-MARK follows the products to the source. It helps to know the general source of standard materials and components. Validates the supply chain risk for vegan integrity. It provides reliable production and quality control systems on site. It reduces the risk. It improves product quality, vegan integrity, consumer confidence and satisfaction.

VEGAN Production Audit

The first step in establishing trust in reliable production and quality control systems that do not compromise vegan integrity in vegan labeling is to ensure that the factory and production audit is completed by a trained V-MARK Vegan auditor. This is an independently operated and risk-based management system that is carried out periodically according to written procedures for the quality system within a factory.

Vegan audits aim to verify the degree of compliance with the V-MARK vegan standard through the examination and evaluation of objective evidence. The auditor must be able to evaluate every process in the production facility and analyze strengths and weaknesses in the production system that could cause cross-contamination, increase liability and jeopardize the truth in labeling for vegan claims.

The results will be documented in a detailed report showing conformance, non-conformances, non-conformances and outlining the product for improvement. A corrective plan for vegan violations and a specified action plan will be implemented to complete corrective actions to ensure compliance with the ISO 17065 vegan standard to ensure that finished products meet vegan consumer expectations.
