Overhead cranes capable of handling very high tones (100 tons) can carry loads from one end to the other. These cranes, which can move on the mechanism, are used more easily than other cranes. Bridge girder cranes are divided into two single and two girder models are put on. Single girder bridge cranes are cranes carrying light tonnage loads. They are cranes which can carry loads up to 10 tons working on double girder and multiple high girder. Periodic checks of these cranes, which lift loads of high tonnage, increase the safety of life and property. Soft start and stop, shockless operation and long life are provided by motor and reducer groups specially produced for bridge cranes.
Bridge cranes belong to the group of lifting and forwarding machines and in accordance with the Regulation on Health and Safety in the Use of Work Equipment published by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the construction machinery and equipment used in the enterprises must meet the minimum requirements for health and safety. Accordingly, if no other conditions are required in the relevant standards, the testing of bridge cranes is carried out with the 1,25 multiplied of the declared load.
Some of the bridge cranes are double girder gantry cranes. They move on crane tracks and have a higher lifting force than bridge cranes with single girders. However, bridge cranes of any type must have load-resistant load brakes. Furthermore, these cranes must be inspected and inspected at least once a year by mechanical engineers, machine technicians or high technicians.
